Skyline Lagniappe style

The weather is getting colder so Deuce planned a late season ride to Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah Mountains near Front Royal, VA.  Here soon it will be much colder on top and there will be snow so this might be the last chance we have to ride Skyline.
Chris and Phil prepping the bikes for the ride.
Deuce doing what he does....
Break down number 1, lost spark, messed with the bike and it started working again so off we went.
Met up with Laz and Jenny and we headed towards Skyline.
No spark yet again.
And we are off again.

Jenny snapping some pics from the back of Laz's bike.

Phil coasting down the hill yet again trying to get to a safe pull off.
The tool roll makes yet another appearance....

So at this point the Lagniappe ride is going to be renamed to the Lagniappe "Let's go work on our bikes in new and exciting locations with minimal tools".  Found the issue, busted connector on one of the relays.  Deuce threw a little Lagniappe zip tie action at it and it ran great the rest of the day.
We may have encountered a couple bugs during the ride.
Nothing like a belly full of Mexican food and beer for the ride home.
Must have been those beers....

Headed home after the pit stop.

Deuce on the FXR with the new shocks mounted, He swapped out the lowrider shocks and now had to really work to drag the pegs.

Oh and what is this?  Yet another break down and we were almost home.  The oil filter holder had a bolt that backed out and it was hanging from the oil lines.

Deuce assisting Chris with the repair...or maybe something else.  Either way Chris had a smile on his face!

Deuce attempting some prison shit by making a strap out of a rag.

After all Deuce's hard work, he ended up going with the tool roll bungee and that got us home.
At the end of the day, we had great weather and great people.  Yeah we had a couple setbacks but we rode where we intended and everyone stayed upright.  Our first long ride in the spring was to Skyline when it was about 38 degrees on top so we started and possibly ended our season on Skyline.

Swap meet , One Life Cycles

Bad ass old Indian Deuce saw while browsing.
The layout, we brought a truck full of items from the shop.  We unloaded he Virago parts and found some good finds of our own.

The newly printed shirts made it and looked great.

The first sale!!!  Deuce sold some nice saddle bags to break the ice.

Phil passing the time with a good read.  If you look closely you might recognize it's the latest Show Class Mag.

Seems that our chairs were the most popular thing that we brought, these young ladies kept sitting at our spot.  Shady took up a little tarp real estate and made out better than we did.

Finished off the day with a pulled pork sandwich.  Packed up and headed home.  It was a good day, some cool finds and good people.  Of course we were representing the Lagniappe with the newly printed T's.

Silk screening shirts

Holding the pattern in place while Deuce spreads the ink.
Jenny and Haven were obviously not as enthused about the Lagniappe T-Shirt biz as we were.  We ran out of places to hang the shirts so they could dry.

Drying out the pattern after a color change.  Last run so we have shirts for the swap meet tomorrow.

Good night at the shop

I've been working too much here lately and haven't been puttin my time in at the shop. Miss that damn place so tonight I came over after work to help Bible Dave get his rear brakes working again. Deuce tried to get the turn signals all working on the CB750 and ended up just taking them off for the time being. Chris reprogrammed the Buell. These are the nights that remind me why I miss this place during my work weeks.

Pink headlight

In an effort to make the FXR softer, we decided it needed a pink headlight.
It was impossible to find a pink light so we went with some $5 pink film off ebay.
Cut it to size and gently work if from the center out. I use a small crafting heat gun to shrink it as it gets near the sides.
Leave yourself about 1/2 to pull and adjust  with. I go at the strong with the heat gun again and shrink it all tight against the side to avoid seperation during installation.
PINK!

Wheel assembly

Front wheel complete

The rear wheel receiveing the same All Balls set up.
Found this smashed up race inside the rear virago wheel. A little hammering and a final smash on the press and it was good as new.
Finished set. I am a fan of the candy blue.
The bear claws are so cool and cheap. There are now 3 bikes in the shop rocking them.
