Droppin the seat

My seat was entirely too high so I made this new mount to drop the front of the seat almost 1 1/2 inches.  The new grinding stand was perfect to weld this piece up.

Powder coat and 20 minutes in the oven. 

Remounted with the new seat springs.  Now it sits where it should be.

Add one junk table base and some steel plate from the scrap yard and this is what you get.

A custom Lagniappe style grinder table created by Deuce and his custom foot protection.

We were tired of grinding on the floor so now we have a stand for the grinder\polishing wheel and somewhere to clamp things to.

82 Virago Tear Down

 Fabrication is complete on the 82 Virago Street Fighter project so tear down begins.  What was a complete bike is taken down to a pile of parts in about 2 hours. 

An entire bike sitting on the floor ready to be painted, powder coated and polished.

Deuce pressure washed all the grime off prior to tearing down the motor further.

Tore down the motor to check the internals.  One head gasket was completely smoked but the cylinders look good and the inside was clean.

82 Virago street fighter work

Deuce is making progress on his fathers virago. Almost to the point of tear down and beautification. He made some tabs and got them welded in so all the seat mounting hardware will be hidden.

Phil did a little fine tuning to the seat pan to get the fit just right.
