Weekend progress on the virago

We have moved on from engine assembly. Got most of the frame components painted.
This was some new Chrome powdercoat from Eastwood. The product goes on amazing and shines like real chrome but unfortunalty it really shows all the imperfections. You have to be on your game with prep if you want to use this stuff.
We used the same chrome powder on the wheels. This will act as a basecoat for a candy blue.
Chris stopped in and built a rear backet for his Buell.
Chris also showed up this weekened bearing gifts. Check out the new PBR sign!
Prior to powder Phil knocked out all the hardware and bearings on the wheels
I have found that using a shovel is the quickest way to break a tire bead.
This was the first time I have worked with an acrylic urethane paint. This stuff goes on thick and lays fat. The gloss is amazing.
