Bikes down might as well get some tat work done at Lagniappe.

Almost completely bare leg at 1100, lets see what happens.
Deuce in the zone, once the tongue comes out you just sit back and let the creative juices flow.
And 5 hours later, we are about half way done.

The bucking horse was already there so we worked around it.
Tons of symbolism and little details in there.  Overall, extremely happy with where we are now.  More to come!!

Chris' VMAX chop begins

Once we had the external bodywork removed it gave Chris  the ablity to see his lines and come up with a concept for turning this in to a rigid.

Front and rear removed.
Snatched the frame off the engine
Chris welded in a bar to keep the frame from twisting and now it is CHOP TIME!
You are what you eat and Chris is all chop.
By the end of the day he got most of the backbone cleared and 80% of the un needed tabs cleaned from the frame. I am stoked to see what he does with this.

Random Sat night at the shop

What started of as a normal Sat some how rolled into one of those nights that get out of control. It was awsome having everybody over Bible Dave, Gabby, DJ, Amber, Shawn, Lisa, Phil, Kakki, Dave,...the cops... Oh well, it is hard to be a good person if at times you can't be a bad one.
The ladies rockin the new shirts

When you are a bare knuckle chopper builder, there isn't anything too hard to take on...Including making little girl Halloween contumes
Mike stopped in....somebody needs to take his phone away.

Shawn and Phil had to knock out some time trials on the sidecar.

Since safty is alway first at the shop. We designated a drunk crossing.
DJ...doing what DJ does.
And it just went down hill from there.

Ain't that a bitch

Riding home from work and my damn tire went flat. Rode it flat for about 5 miles to make it to a gas station. Tried the dreaded fix a flat just to get me home. No luck turns out the valve stem failed. So now I have a flat tire full of damn fix a flat.

Work to the Vmax

Started the tear down of the Vmax this evening. We got everything stripped off so Chris can chop the frame and get everything set up for the look he's going for.
All stripped down and ready to build.
Deuce testing the look of a tank and riding wheelies...

Rockabilly Rumble Car and Bike Show

The annual Rockabilly Car and Bike show was today and we grabbed the old trucks and a couple bikes and headed that way.  The weather sucked but there was still a great turn out.
There was a mix of fully restored cars, rats and just daily drivers.  Not too many bikes, they had to be 1971 and prior to participate in the show.  Our bikes aren't that old so we just threw them in the back of the trucks for eye candy.  Having said that, some of the bikes that were there were very unique and definitely had some soul.
We brought three of the Doucet and Sons Bare Knuckle Fab bikes and one of them took the trophy for best in show in the bicycle class.  This is the one that Haven and the rest of the kids rode around the show.
These guys are doing some very unique things. Machining a lot of parts and just doing some off the wall stuff that comes out cool as hell.
This was probably the most unique and custom bike there.  The craftsmanship and time that went into hand making most of these parts definitely showed in the finished product.
Nice Metrics
All the tan on this bike was leather work.
These two didn't even make it out of the trailer because it rained all day, so we snuck a peak and a couple pics.
There weren't too many ladies running around all done up because of the rain but we ran into this beauty peddling some info for a local machine shop.  Oh and she happens to be a machinist so needless to say I believe we found a new place to get our machine work done.
She posed in front of Phil and Chris's trucks.  I swear there is a truck in this photo somewhere....I still haven't seen it.
We held out through the rain for the Pin-up contest.  Stage full of beautiful ladies and that pretty much finished the day on a high note for the Lagniappe Shop.  We talked to a bunch of folks, saw some awesome bikes and cars and even managed to drop a few business cards here and there.

Chris's new project

So Chris picked up a new bike last night. This dumbass drove all the way to Jersey and arrived at a dark gas station about 11 pm. Keep in mind he went alone and didn't let anyone know. Dude shows up the same time as a couple other dudes rocking cuts....and here is Chris alone. Lucky for him things went well and he picked up this sweet 85 VMax. It's been hit but is in great condition considering. He made the drive back and made t home just in time to go to work. Said he paid as much in tolls as he did in gas. Well here is the newest project in the shop. I'm sure we will figure out how to add a little Lagniappe style to this powerhouse.

Silk screening take two

Had to do a second run of shirts for the upcoming rockabilly car show. Did some women's tanks too.
Once again we filled up Deuce's whole house so they could dry   .  If anyone is interested in buying a shirt, let us know.
