During our last ride the oil filter mount backed it self out. I thought it was gunna be a quick fix but I could not get the bolt to start. In hind sight the problem was that the bolt was reverse thread. Either way it gave me a reason to pull the primary (becasue I had to pull the starter. This allowed me access to my shifter linkage which was loose. To start drain and remove your primary cover. |
Remove the starter. 1 bolt on the front and 2 allen wrench bolts on the back. |
remove the front 1.5" bolt |
Remove the tensioner |
Remove the clutch adjustment bolt. Release the tension on the allen wrench. |
There is a c-clip inside the clutch backet |
Remove the 1.125" bolt from inside the clutch basket. It is reverse threaded. |
Mike stopped in, for moral support, with his sweet Lagniappe Shop T!! |
There are two bolts fed from the backside under the trany that need to be removed. |
